Allen S. Levin - Post 3
Toronto, Ontario, Canada
29th Division Association

We are honoured to be the newest Post in the Association and the only post outside of the USA.  We are still working on setting ourselves up and working out the melding of the US and Canadian military customs so that we make sure to respect everyone without compromising all our important values.

We meet at least bi-monthly, or more as required, at Fort York Armoury.  The Commanding Officer of 32 Signal Regiment graciously allows us the use of their Officer’s Mess for our meetings.  Our members are all either currently serving or former serving members of either the Canadian or U.S. Military.  Our membership has grown quickly as word has spread.

Post 3 has been extremely busy and has the honor of being the co-planning organization for the City of Toronto’s May 8th V-E Day event. Veterans, soldiers, diplomats and the public will be attending and the expected turnout is over 1000 people. The Consulate of the French Republic will be in attendance and responded within 1 hour of being officially invited. They are very excited to meet Post 3!

Our Current list of Officers are:

Post Commander – HLCol Alex Moseanu, SBStJ, GCSJ(J), KGCStG, MOC, ORCB, CD, AdeC

Vice-Commanders – Len Janke, HD and Captain Andy Witecki, HD

Deputy Vice-Commander – Darrin Hoy

Adjutant – Heather Janke, CD

Canadian Forces Liaison & Media Relations – Capt. Andy Witecki, CD

Historian – Hal Buller, CD

Sergeant-at-Arms – Donna LeClair Witecki

Chaplain – Capt. Audrey Brown

Vice Chaplain – Dr. Alis Kennedy, O.Ont., C.D., O.M.C., OSJ, OstG, Col (Ky)

Welfare Officer – Jack Lee, CD

Treasurer – Sgt David Spessot

Our dues are different because of the currency exchange issues and are paid directly to the post executive and submitted en masse.
We have developed an Association challenge coin, which we would be happy to share with other Posts if requested.

We are involved in the Canadian National Exhibition Warrior’s Day Parade every August and we have been invited to participate in several City of Toronto events to commemorate various military anniversaries.  As we are still so new, we are continuing to establish our presence in the Veteran’s community here in the Southern Ontario region and are looking forward to establishing a working relationship with other Canadian Veterans organizations.

If you would like to contact our Post, you can find us on Facebook or Twitter or email to 29thdivisionpost3@gmail.com.
